If
Getting Rid of Firearms
is
Your Answer for Ending Deaths
from Firearms ...

Cooking is Harmful
About 5,000 people die every year in this country as the result of fire, and another 25,500 are injured.
Fire is the third leading cause of accidental death in the home; at least 80 percent of all fire deaths occur in residences.  Therefore, we need to abolish all fireplaces, all lighters, all matches, all BBQs, and everything else that requires fire.
Cooking is the leading cause of home fires in the U.S. It is also the leading cause of fire injuries.  Sorry, guys.  No more home cooked meals!  You can eat it raw & cold or eat every meal out ... or you can starve.   Might as well turn that kitchen into another bedroom.

1998 Deaths from Violence/Accidental/Injury
Total Injury-related deaths:  146,400
Motor vehicle traffic:   42,473  Looks like motor vehicles have to go also!

And hey ... if its the motor vehicle that's at fault, then why do we put those poor drivers who kill others in jail?  That's not logical!

Firearm-related:  32,436  (1998)  31,636, (1997)   Same logic here.  If it's the fault of the firearms, then it's wrong of us to imprision those poor fools who just happen to be at the butt end of the firearm!
Poisoning:  17,692  Whoops, gotta outlaw rat poison.  And bleach.  And most definitely that sweet-tasting Anti-freeze!!!
Falls:  12,555  So long, multiple storey buildings and step ladders.  Y'all are guilty for causing all these deaths!
Work-related Deaths - A total of 5,666  Now I can REALLY live with this one ... no more work.  Working causes deaths!

Leading Causes of Death in 1997
Heart disease and cancer--over 54 percent of all deaths in 1997,
Suicide 8th
Nephritis, or kidney disease 9th
Alzheimer's Disease 11th
Homicide 13th
HIV/AIDS 14th
