• My maternal Grandparents, Charles C. Cole and Susannah Caroline Plowman migrated to "the Palouse", in Whitman County, Washington Territory, around 1874.

• I was born on the family farm, which was about 2 miles south of Pullman, Whitman County, Washington, going on the railroad track, on the lefthand side, just below the Max Hendrix Farm.

Majestic Pierce County, Washington - Window to Northwest Grandeur

• When I retired from the U.S. Army, we moved to University Place.   At that time, it was an unincorporated area, between Tacoma and the Puget Sound.   In 1995, it was incorporated and is now the City of University Place.

• One of our daughters, Jeannie, lives in the City of Puyallup.  (The other daughter, Brunetta, lives in Oregon.)
