Our Mission - Our Staff - Our Students - Volunteer Opportunities - Contact Us - The SAFE Project
At Columbia County Education Campus (C.C.E.C.) we understand that not all students excel in traditional school settings. We are here to provide those students with an alternative educational atmosphere. We provide opportunities for students who might otherwise fall behind or drop out of school by tailoring a case plan for each student. Case plans provide referrals and advocacy for academic and social service issues. We strive to aid in the development of stable and capable young adults who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
At C.C.E.C. we employ a full time Program Director, three full time teachers, two part time teachers aids, a full time Case Manager, and one full time Office Manager. Please refer to contact information below to reach us.

Students at C.C.E.C. come from many different educational situations. We have a Jr. High School program for younger students who are struggling in the traditional school setting. We also have students who are currently enrolled in traditional High School but need a little assistance making up credits. Our largest group are full time C.C.E.C. students. When students first come to C.C.E.C. we assess their educational goals and then establish an individual plan for that student's needs.
C.C.E.C. encourages volunteer participation
from all segments of the community. We are currently
fortunate to have the assistance of several artists from our
community and an AmeriCorps volunteer placement. Volunteers
partner with our teaching staff to offer our students credit
opportunities. Please contact C.C.E.C. if you are
interested in volunteering at our school.

C.C.E.C. sponsors Student Advocates for Freedom and Empowerment (S.A.F.E.). The S.A.F.E. Project works collaboratively with other Columbia County agencies to provide mentorship opportunities to teen women in Columbia County school systems. These students receive training on violence awareness and prevention and on mentorship skills. The students then have the opportunity to earn credit for a variety of service learning opportunities including:
There are many other ways that students
in the S.A.F.E. project can earn credit and provide service to
their community. If you would like more information, if you
need support or information about a problem, or if you would like
to apply to the project click here to link to the S.A.F.E. web
page. The S.A.F.E. web page also has other helpful
information and a "cyber support group" chat room for
teens.
