| Goble school is the Rainier School District's
alternative education program, and is housed in the former Goble Elementary
School.
The program provides secondary students
the learning opportunity different from the regular classroom. Work
is done primarily through independent study with assistance and direction
from a certified teacher and an instructional aide. While courses
of study covered the same material as to the other district secondary schools,
students may work at a pace appropriate to their own needs and learning
styles.
All courses needed to meet current graduation
requirements are offered through the Goble School program.
Besides the students in alternative enrollment,
credit recovery and GED assistance is available.
Gobal school has both a breakfast and a
lunch program run by the students. It is offered in conjunction with
the high school's food service.
Enrollment, as of Jan. 4, 1999, is 28 students.
The staff consists off one director/teacher and an instructional aide.
Students wishing to attend Goble School
must complete an application process. Once completed, the application
is reviewed and the decision between the director and high school administration
is reached. Students excepted into the program are officially registered
at either Rainier High School or Rainier Middle School but do their work
at the Goble Campus. |
