An initial workshop helps you assess your
occupational interests and evaluate your job seeking skills. Topics
covered include:

Local Labor Market
Applications, Cover Letters, and Resumes
Job Interview Techniques
All aspects of the job seeking process
are reviewed through classroom instruction, group discussion, videotaped
interviews, and self directed study and practice. An individualized
employment plan is developed.

to get assistance for your specific needs.
Employment's Counseling
the career consultant can work with you
to further target specific areas of employment interest and help you to
identify available job openings. This can be particularly helpful
if you are making a major career change, if you are a dislocated worker,
or if you are returning to work after a long absence from employment.
Job Search
wWhile you look for employment, you may
attend a weekly job search meeting. In addition to sharing the latest
job information, the group functions as a forum for presentations by local
employers, as a support and referral network, and as a workshop to review
the fundamentals of a successful job finding campaign. |
