Oregon's New Professional Development Requirements
The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) has adopted the requirement of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for renewal of license. The requirement takes effect January 15, 2002.

OEA Foundation
Established in 1995, the OEA Foundation meets basic and temporary needs of students in Oregon’s public schools. To date, the Foundation has granted more than $75,000 for eyeglasses, medicine, coats, gloves, shoes, backpacks, dental services, umbrellas, hearing aids, and more. In the 1998-1999 school year, 234 grants were issued.
